Everything Old Was New Again

To celebrate her role as the lead designer for a show house created in the penthouse of Trump Park Avenue – once the home of The Delmonico Hotel – an internationally acclaimed interior designer enlisted Bowen & Company to create an exclusive, private dinner inspired by French and British salons of the 17th and 18th centuries. A signature layer of urban, contemporary style kept the experience fresh for the 150 guests representing a veritable “who’s who” of the design community.

Conceived entirely in white with gold accents, we transformed an empty apartment into an exclusive Manhattan aerie with one-of-a-kind rugs and tapestries, gold candelabras in every window illuminating the Manhattan skyline, and a painstakingly researched and expertly executed menu inspired by original recipes from the famed Delmonico’s Restaurant. The delicious meal culminated in a trio of desserts originally served at a dinner honoring Charles Dickens in 1867.
